When I save a GPX and change the name to Wednesday (for example) and then send it to my Garmin it still shows up as RouteXL… (file name with date, etc). I can only change the name by going into the route on the GPS and changing it after downloaded. Why is this and why doesn’t the name change when I change the file name after downloaded?
If you change the name of the file, the name of the route is not changed. The name of the route is in the file and does not depend on the filename. You should open the file, e.g. with a text editor, and change the name of the route in the file.
